{Scripture Challenge 2} Challenge Word #19, Priority

Challenge Word #19: Priority (Copied and Pasted from Patter Cross Blog - http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com/)
Do you keep a ‘to-do’ list? Do you struggle getting through your list? Think about it—you have things you want to do, things you need to do, and things you should do. What comes first? How do you get through it all? And how about Mary and Martha? Luke 10:38-42 says “As Jesus and His disciples were on their way, He came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to Him and asked, ‘Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!’ ‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.’”

Look how Martha becomes distracted with all of the preparations. I know that certainly happens to me when I look at my ‘to-do’ list. I get distracted, overwhelmed, grumpy, you name it! Looking at what each of them did—Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet and Martha running and getting dinner ready for the family and guests—these are certainly all important tasks. BUT, which should be our first priority? John 15:5 says “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” We must keep Him our first priority in all things. As the scripture says “apart from Him we can do nothing.” Our lists will fail, our days will feel stressed, our attitudes will become less than desirable, etc. Remind yourself to pray before tackling that next task on your list. Pray before every task! Make both Him and prayer your priority, and see how much smoother everything in your life will become!

For my page, I chose the John 15:5 scripture. It’s just perfect for me, and I love the reminder that without Him I can do nothing. Nothing!!

He concluded the service by singing the gospel chorus "Just Enough."
Grammy-winning gospel singer Kirk Franklin was also in the crowd, although he did not perform.
Hundreds of members of the Sapps Lighthouse Full Life Center Church were witness to the service.
"MaLinda made every one feel so loved, and so welcome," recalled Lighthouse member Sharon Hill, who attended the service with her husband, Jeffrey, and daughter Joi. "That is truly a God-given gift."

My Lifetime Story Challenge 37 - A Day or Week In My Life

Copied ands Pasted from http://www.faithsisters.com/

So what is a day or week in your life like right now? Decide if you would like to do a day or a full week and then list your daily or weekly schedule. Hour by hour if you are doing a day. This will be a really neat layout to look back on in 10 years. Let alone how awesome it will be for your children and grandchildren to look back and see how you spent your time. It would be so neat to have something like this from my grandparents!
It would be great to take some pictures of your faily routines to include on this layout. Just keep your camera with you all day, or all week if you are doing a whole week! We can't wait to see what your days look like!!!!! (It's ok, go ahead and include that picture of the laundry!)

My Lifetime Story Challenge 36 - Life Lessons and Advice

Our scrapbooks are a great place for us to teach the future generations the lessons we have learned and hopefully some they will not need to learn. There are good and bad lessons but these experiences you have had make you who you are today.
Be honest, write from your heart and allow your family to discover you in your words. Also this is a great opportunity to interview members of your family and ask them what they have learned in life. Create a layout that shares and showcases these values.
What lessons and advice would you like to share? Some topics could include what you have learned about: Marriage, careers, raising children, money, family, and health.

What experiences or turning points have changed your views on: Friends, church, gratitude, , and your time?
Other layout ideas can include advice you have been given my your loved ones “The best advice I received from my Mother” “When I was your age”
Photo list can include: person who is giving the advice, the place you learned this lesson, photo of who you are giving this advice too, images that symbolize the event that change your view.

Be sure to follow this challenge in our forum and post your page in our gallery under the appropriate category! If you are a digital scrapbooker, be sure to find some great products in our shop to help you with your project!

My Lifetime Story Challenge 35 - My Dreams and Goals - Bucket List

My Lifetime Story Challenge 35 - My Dreams and Goals - Bucket List
LAYOUT TO FOLLOW
Why not make a list of your life goals? Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of the future into reality.
The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts.
Why not make a list of your life goals? You can call it a bucket list of all the things you want to do before you kick the bucket or you can create a layout just showing what you dream of accomplishing within the next 5 or 10 years.
What do you want to accomplish? Where do you want to go? Who do you want to help?
What are your life goals?
