My Lifetime Story Challenge 43 - Good Works and Service

My Lifetime Story Challenge 43 - Good Works and Service

"And the King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me." ~Matthew 25:40

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." ~ Matthew 5:16
We are called to serve others. Jesus didn't come to be served, but to serve others.(Mark 10:45) This week, create a layout or layouts about some of the things that you do to serve others and serve Christ..

My Lifetime Story Challenge 51 - Today's Technology

Have a very Merry Christmas this week! Birthday Jesus!
If you would have told me fifteen years ago that I would have hundreds of friends from all over the county, and other countries I would have thought you were crazy. If you would have told me that I would be able to talk to them on a daily basis I would have known you were crazy because there is no way I could have afforded to call hundreds of friends long distance, let alone have the time to talk to all those people!
The internet has changed our lives in such a dramatic way! I really do have hundreds of friends that I communicate with on a daily basis. Many of those friends who I know from the internet are some of my nearest and dearest friends at heart. Those friendships would never have been possible if it weren't for the internet.
Imagine how much things are going to change in the future. It is hard to think that anything more could be invented, haven't they thought of it all already?? However, I know in 10 years we will be looking back at this post and laughing at how primitive the internet was back then!
Create a layout about your daily uses of technology. Talk about how things have changed over the years. Are there things that you dislike about technology? How do you thinks things might look in the future technology wise?

Challenge # 15 - Faith Sisters - No Turning back!

Copied and Pastered from faith sister - I love there journaling, on how to do the pages. Awesome wording and it explains what has to be done. My journaling is below...LONG POST!

~Challenge # 15 - I thought if we created a LO about a specific way of life or behavior in our past that God has delivered us from, it would be a great way to share our testimony with others about how God has the power to set anyone free from anything. You just never know if this LO will be used to reach someone out there who is struggling with the same thing and is in need of some encouragement and hope. So if you'd like, create a LO that will share what personal transformation took place in your life or lifestyle that you know was done only through the power and grace of God

*This challenge will definitely be something that I'm sure will cause you to ponder into the core of your heart. And if this isn't something you're ready to do then by all means, skip this one or return to it later when you feel comfortable. For me, I felt the Lord led me in this direction and also wanted to share with others the struggles I faced in my old life which only God was able to deliver me from. *
Faith Verses:Isaiah 43:18 - "Forget the former things; Do not dwell in the past."John 8:36 - "So if the Son set you free, you will be free indeed."
Philippians 3:13-14 - "Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus

Faith sister - No Turning back
No Turning Back - 2010 - I'm 43 and I'm so Glad I decide to follow Jesus - He is my Rock My protection my all in all..There are people in my Life that try to force me to go back that old Barbara God is working a new thing in me.. and when you try to change there will always be people to tell you how you used to be... It's may be Family, so called friends but you have to keep pushing and living your life on purpose ... knowing God's will for my life is the best thing that could have happened for me in 2010... I'm a child of God and yes he call me friend...I love the LORD..
Stay Blessed...
Isaiah 43:18 Forget the former things do not dwell on the past.
John 8:36 So if the Son set you free, You will be Free Indeed....

My Lifetime Story Challenge 47 - When God Has Provided For Me

My Lifetime Story Challenge 47 - When God Has Provided For Me

( Copied and pasted from Faith sister) My layout posted below -

"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." ~Philippians 4:19

God desires to provide for us. Many times he requires an action of faith and obedience to set his provisions for us into motion. I can think of many times when I have needed something- financial, emotional, spiritual, relational, or physical. Almost every time God already had a solution but wanted me to first trust in Him and step out in faith, believing He would provide. Many times stepping out is a scary thing, but I have found that it gets easier everytime, because each time he provides my faith grows stronger for the next time I need to step out.
Think back over time and remember a time when God supernaturally supplied your needs and create a page about it. .
Be sure to follow this challenge in our forum and post your page in our gallery under the appropriate category! If you are a digital scrapbooker, be sure to find some great products in our shop to help you with your project!

My Lifetime Story Challenge 46 - Count Your Many Blessings

What are you thankful for? If you are like me, you can probably think of many, many things.

Can you count all the amazing blessings in your life? Having your blessings laid out in front of you will leave an important legacy, and give you many reasons to smile this Thanksgiving and many more to come!  Have A Great Day! ~Love Barbara~

My Lifetime Story Challenge 48 - God's Fingerprints on My Life

Last week we created pages about when God has provided for us. This week let's focus on the everyday Fingerprints of God that we see in our lives. For some of you that have been doing challenges with us for a long time...you may have done this challenge in the past, but certainly there are more fingerprints that you can add to your My Lifetime Story Album!

There are Fingerprints from God in your life everyday all day, simply because He loves us.
If we’re not actively looking for his fingerprints, we may not recognize them, but some are so big that it would be impossible for them to go unnoticed. These are the moments that you want to harness because they offer life-changing, faith-growing power! To me this is what Faithbooking is all about! As we remember these times and recognize God’s fingerprints in all of our experiences, our faith grows and our confidence about the future grows.

My Lifetime Story Challenge 50 - I Believe In Miracles

My Lifetime Story Challenge 50 - I Believe In Miracles
Journaling Copied and Pasted from Faith Sisters 2010
It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of our year of My Lifetime Story Challenges! 2010 is drawing to an end and so is this weekly challenge. But never fear! Our stories will continue and so will this challenge. We plan to continue to add challenges to this My Lifetime Story album!

This week is all about Miracles. There seems no better time to talk about Miracles than right here at Christmas as we reflect on the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Miracles are hard to believe. Usually, they don't make sense. Many times people have a hard time believing in miracles and try to prove them with natural reasonsing. Do you believe in miracles?
Here are some miracles from the bible:
Read Luke 5:4-7
Read Acts 16:24-26
Read John 4:46-54
Read Matthew 14

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" ~Hebrew 13:8

“When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”” - Matthew 2:4-6

Introducing: Monthly Heritage Challenge - Documenting Family Traditions

New Faith Sisters Challenge 2011 - Monthly Heritage Challenge.
Welcome to Faith Sister's new monthly heritage scrapbooking challenge.
My name is Theresa and I design under the name of Forget-Me-Nots. I’m one of the new designers here and I’m very excited to “visit” with you today in my first monthly heritage challenge. Heritage scrapbooking is near and dear to my heart. Each month I hope to work with you on getting some of your family story scrapped. On the 2nd Thursday, I will post a new topic in the forum that we can work on. You can expect the next one to arrive on January 13, 2011.

Some people panic when they think of heritage scrapbooking, but if we break it down into bite sized chunks, it will be fun. You don’t have to have a lot of photos to be able to scrap your heritage. And by the way – it doesn’t have to be 100 years old to be heritage! We will explore all kinds of ideas for getting it done. Your story, and more importantly God’s story woven in your life is important. Let’s work on it together and have some fun along the way! I’m looking forward to getting to know you.

When I decided to do a December Heritage challenge, I first thought of “traditions”, not realizing that the topic of the wonderful My Lifetime Story Challenge this week is also traditions! That’s all right, the more the merrier! (If you are participating in that challenge your layout could serve for both challenges.)

Whenever I hear the word “tradition” I automatically think of the song from Fiddler on the Roof and Tevya begins singing in my brain. What do you think about when you think of traditions?

Traditions can be habits of daily life, they can be a part of celebration, they can be the things you remember when you think of home or they could be ways of doing things that your family has passed on to you. This month a lot of us are focused on the holidays, so it is a good time to think about this topic. Be mindful as you go through your busy days this month and take photographs of the small things that might be forgotten if you don’t document them.

My Lifetime Story Challenge 49 - Family Traditions and Celebrations

Faith Sister - My lifetime challenge only a couple more weeks, I'll be posting layout later....
December seems like a fitting time to think about our family traditions and celebrations.
Create a layout about the traditions and celebrations that your family cherishes.

This will be an important part of your story because it adds to your rich personal history. What about these memories and traditions is important to you? Why do you want to pass these memories and traditions on to the ones that you love?

Our Daily Bread - Monday December 6th-2010

The United States Secret Service was founded in 1865. Their mission? To deal with counterfeiters in an attempt to protect the dollar and, as a result, America’s national economy. This targeted group of law enforcement officers, however, experienced a change of direction in 1902. They became best known for protecting the President of the United States, although their charge still embodies a variety of tasks.

That change of direction in the Secret Service duties is nothing compared to the completely altered lives of the believers at Thessalonica. They had a spiritual transformation that turned their lives around, which was noticed by people far and wide. Paul wrote, “You turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God” (1 Thess. 1:9). And “you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe. . . . Your faith toward God has gone out” (vv.7-8). The change of direction they displayed was dramatic, to say the least— abandoning the worship of idols to embrace relationship with the true and living God. And people noticed the difference in their lives.
I wonder—do people recognize such a profound change in our hearts and lives?
If you are going in the wrong direction,
Or if you have no goal in view,
Let Christ transform you, have control,
Then honor Him in all you do. —Hess

Coming to Christ is not merely informational; it’s transformational.

Verse of the day - Wednesday 12/1/2010 -

Happy December - 24 More day until Christmas - Jesus birthday....
Verse of the day

“[The Word Became Flesh] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” - John 1:1-2, 14
