Card a Day - 2peas - week 1 - Jan 1st thru 7th, 2010

ALL ARE WELCOME! Here are the finalized plans: *Seeing as how the year starts on a Friday, I'll post weekly threads on each Friday, for that coming "week". *Each thread will have a full week of ideas and challenges, based on the book. *Each day will contain the Date, Card Title, and 3 different bits of inspiration that I picked up from looking at it...feel free to use one, two, or all 3 in creating your card. If you have the "Card A Day" book and want to totally scraplift the cards, feel free to do that, too. *Feel free to pick one, two, all 7, or somewhere else in between to work on. If you can only do one a week, cool. If you want to do 7 cards based on one day's "inspiration bits", that's an awesome way to do it, too! If you want to work on all 7 in one day, awesome still! I promise, I'm loose! *

There is an additional card pictured at the beginning of every month in the book. I'm calling this one a Bonus Card...I'll post it on every week's thread, but it will be the same card throughout the month. Work on it at first, at the end, in the middle...if you want to do it at all.

I just thought I'd throw it in there. *Post your beauties to the Gallery, once they're finished. Pretty please? I love looking at everyone else's work! *Hang in best you can...I don't even know that *I* can do this, but I think with encouragement, I'll stick it through! ******************************************************************

I think that's it for now...for the "Sneak Peek", I'm going ahead and posting Week # 1 (January 1-7) right here, right now....just so everyone can get a taste of the fun. LOL...feel free to cheat and get a head start...maybe that'll be some good encouragement to keep it going! As an aside, I'll concurrently be working on the Organize Your Stuff challenge, so I'm anxious to see what I can create in the midst of an organizing, tornadic frenzy. ********************************************************************

****BONUS CARD**** "Let it Snow" - Inspiration: use snowflakes, a flourish, and/or stripes.

1 - "Thanks A Bunch" - Inspiration: Thank you, lots of blue, and/or a button & flower combo

1/2 - "Together Forever" - Inspiration: Layered tags, one scalloped edge, and/or pearls

1/3 - "Backwards in Heels" - Inspiration: Stitching, a favorite female driven quote, and/or a crown

1/4 - "To You From Me" - Inspiration: Matching color cardstock & ribbon, complementary colors, and/or 2 different pattern & color papers

1/5 - "Happy Bird Day" - Inspiration: Bird, a square card, and/or sentiment in a circle using 2 different fonts

1/6 - "Hello Birdie" - Inspiration: 4 decorative edges, chipboard letters, and/or a sticker element elevated with foam

1/7 - "Medical Thanks" - Inspiration: Vertically opening card, neutral colors, and/or 2 or more stamps of same shape, but different pattern. ***********************************************************************
