I have a question and need some help!

It's Card selling time again....Wondering how much I should be charging for my cards and or creative items that I have made...I'm in the process of building a website ( I think) and or putting my items on www.esty.com for a small service fee, but I'm asking my friends and close family what do you think, please be honest and realist. I'm a big girl and I can take criticism..LOL......( question is How much are you will to pay) email me at blessedladybug@bellsouth.net

Hey Barbara!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)

Well I thought I'd jump right in and answer your question, hope that's okay! I think having an etsy shop is a really great way to go, but also letting those around you know that you are offering services is a good thing too! Pricing is often hard because we aren't really ever sure. I don't think that many know how much supplies actually cost us to create the item in the end!!! With that being said, I think cards go for about 2-5 bucks depending upon the card {heck that is how much Hallmark charges!} but projects that take a lot of time like an album, canister, or something of that nature should be 30 bucks+ I think.

I did a baby album once for a friend who paid me to do it and she said she didn't realize all that goes into it and all the supplies!

I'd pay a lot for your alter items as well as a card that you have created that I've seen because it takes the guess work out for me and its a beautiful product by you!

Good luck with pricing and selling your creations! You really have a creative eye!!!

Be blessed,
e.

Because I am a crafter I know how much time, effort and money goes into the art.
As for cards I was going to say what Elizabeth said...whatever Hallmark charges.
This is the reason I don't sell my projects, I never know what to charge.
My daughter tells me to open an etsy shop and I havent' for this reason.
Good luck to you.

I agree, $2-5 per card would be a good place to start. I haven't sold mine yet either but I would like to. Pricing seems hard but maybe just jumping in to see would be good.

But I do wish you well in this. Let us know how it turns out. OK? Come see my blog at
