Providence 365 - Week 38

This week, I want you to reach over and pick up His Word.  What is your favorite Bible? What special meaning does this bible have to you? Was it presented to you as a child, or by a good friend? Do you have a favorite version?

My favorite Bible Verse is - Psalm 103:1-3

1 Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,.

{This verse waspresented to me in 2006, by a lady known to be a profect...I studies and said this verse all while i was going thru my Cancer screening and test and most of you guys know,,, I cancer Free for 5 yrs now... God is Awesome and Worthy to be Praised...}

We have several Bibles here in our home. I have the one given to me as a 1st grader in our church in Massachusetts. I have one that belonged to my great Grandfather who was (I believe) a Methodist minister. We have versions in Spanish, babies Bibles, toddler's Bibles, children's Bible....you get the idea. His Word is in every room of our house. My personal favorite is an NIV Bible for Moms - with inspirational tidbits for reflection. This one in particular was given to me by my precious daughters.

What is your favorite Bible verse? Do you highlight special passages? Do you use the pages to protect special documents? Is your family history and lineage documented within this Bible?

Share with us what makes this Bible special (we know His Word is AWESOME)
Till next week ~ stay in His Word and in His loving arms.

Great post! My favorite Bible passage has always been Isaiah 40:28-31, but lately Psalm 121 holds a special place in my heart. Another favorite of mine is Deuteronomy 31:8....oh who am I kidding....I have way too many favorites. :)

I am like Pam and not sure if I have a favorite anymore, though Psalm 27:14 comes to mind as well as Phil 3:10-11. My fave bible I bought for myself. It is Hebrew Greek Key Word study bible with a wonderful lexicon in the back. It's NIV, which isn't necessarily my fave, but I like it. I too have a collection of bibles. I find I give them away often so having more than one is a GOOD thing.
